Falling Over The Edge

A contemporary way to finish the end of kitchen or bathroom cabinets is to carry the counter top all the way to the floor. Sometimes known as a waterfall edge the look is very clean. I think this style works best in spaces where you can see the counter top "spilling" to the floor.
