Outdoor Drapes

Summer is almost here and it's time to start living outdoors. I wish that sunbathing wasn't terrible for your skin! But since it is...enjoying the outdoors in a protective cocoon like a cabana is a great way to get the best of both worlds. Outdoor spaces can look hard without plants and furniture to soften the space. Outdoor drapes can really add drama and movement to your outdoor environment. Here are some yards that make me want to grab a good book and lounge around...

Balconies and Patios

Just because you have a small space doesn't mean it can't be designed well. Balconies and patios are usually a perfect example of how small spaces can be transformed into charming and lovely outdoor rooms. With warmer weather here to stay for the next 6 months in Southern California there is every reason to a use what you have to live outdoors. Here are some great ideas for designing your patio or balcony...

Rooms Without Walls

The indoor/outdoor lifestyle of Southern California is one of the main reasons to stay in this populated and congested area. Year round alfresco dining, lounging, and sun worshipping (with sunscreen of course!) make outdoor living spaces a must. There are so many weather resistant fabrics and rugs these day there is no reason not to make the most out of the smallest of patios, balconies, and yards.

Here are few charmers that look amazing!

Outdoor Sofa

I love a great outdoor space. One of my favorite outdoor furniture manufacturers is Janus et Cie. They have delicate french inspired furniture as well as modern, clean designed pieces. There is something for everyone in this line. These sofas make me want to grab a book, an iced tea and a nap! Click to enlarge.
