Flor
Flor carpet tiles have been around for a awhile now. I have never used them but love the looks and function of them. They seem perfect for families with pets and children. They make garages look absolutely livable. With are so many colors and patterns the design options are limitless!

Deck the Halls...
I like to put up my Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's a lot of work and I like to enjoy the decorations for a least a month before packing them all away again. My favorite place to shop for holiday decor is Neiman Marcus. This year they have a collection that I really like called Champagne Frost. Here are a few items from some of their collections and images of fully decorated living spaces to inspire you!

Setting the Table
Thanksgiving is here and feels too early! I think it's because of the endless Summer we had here is Southern California but it just doesn't feel like Thanksgiving should be here yet. But alas, it is and tables need to be set and turkeys need to be cooked. This year I am drawn to crisp, bright, settings probably because it is still hot outside. So if you need some inspiration for setting your holiday table...here it is!

There's a Place in France...
You know the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Well, I am of the opinion that a cover should match its contents. But sometimes it doesn't....and that can be a good thing! Take this house in France...
Such a beautiful, traditional house...I expected to see scrolled arm sofas in velvet and gilt framed oil paintings. Instead it's this....

Rustic Sliding Doors
Character is brought to most spaces through architectural elements. Moldings, archways, beams, casings, and doors are the adjectives of a home. Rustic sliding doors add instant architecture to a variety of spaces. They can be used as closet or pantry doors, window coverings, room dividers or used to hide a TV when not in use. Here are a few inspiration rooms....

Cozy Up to Fall
This is my favorite time of year. It's still bright and sunny but cool enough to wear jeans, sweaters and boots. It's the time of year I start lighting candles, getting my throw blankets out and watching movies at home on Saturday nights. Here are a few rooms that make me want to get the latest releases and a bowl of popcorn...

What's in the Box
Remote controls are not attractive! My solution? Store them in a decorative box on the cocktail table.
Organize your desk by keeping pens and pencils in a box.
Keep one on you nightstand for all you nighttime needs.
Create a spot for important papers and stamps and store it all in a box.
Keep a box in the kitchen for loose recipes and take out menus.

Reclaimed Wood
Using reclaimed wood to make furniture, mantles, and/or architectural details is extremely popular these days. I think it's such a great way to recycle. These pieces can used in so many different styles from French, to modern interiors. These pieces make the biggest impact when they are used sparingly. The reclaimed piece can then be appreciated standing among new pieces.
