Herringbone

Named after the skeleton of a Herring fish, Herringbone is a timeless and classic pattern. It one the great patterns that can translate into almost any medium. It works well for tile, wood, fabrics, paint and wallpaper. Herringbone floors have a particular timelessness to them. They instantly remind me of European architecture. I picture them with antique furniture and can also see them with modern furnishings. I adore the tiles available in Herringbone...perfect for bathrooms and kitchens. Here a few examples...
