Bathroom Supplies

Bathroom supplies need all types of storage. Towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, makeup, shaving tools and hair dryers all need a place to go. Sometimes putting all these thing away in drawers or cabinets is the best the solution. But other people need to see their things out and on display. Here are some ideas for displaying your necessities in an effective way.

1. Trays-Mirrored, Lucite, Silver or Porcelain, trays are great for setting perfume, nail polish, make up or brushes.

2. Glass Jars-I love storing cotton balls and Q-Tips in glass jars. You can also store sponges, soap and hair ties in glass jars.

3. Baskets-Baskets are great when you want to store things on your shelves or counter top without seeing the contents inside. They also add a natural and spa like feeling to the bathroom.

4. Bowls and Boxes-Keeping your watches, jewelry or makeup in boxes or ceramic bowls is another option. They keep things together and organized while still within reach. Here are some images that use all these storage ideas.

Marvelous Mosaics

Clean contemporary design is everywhere these days. Kitchens and bathrooms trends have simple white cabinetry and white marble countertops. While I am a fan of the white look, the most eye popping mosaics are available today in some truly amazing colors and patterns. These tiles look so great as a focal point for any area that tile work is needed...entries, fireplaces, floors, kitchens or bathrooms...

Ready made bathroom vanities can be an easy solution for the powder room or guest bathroom. It's hard to find ones that really go above and beyond in style and design. However, Cole and Co. have hit the ball out of the park with these ready made vanities. They have a great variety for many different looks. Here are a few of my favorites!

Standing Ovation

Freestanding bath tubs are a thing of beauty. They are not the most practical use of space in the bathroom but they sure do make a stunning focal point. I usually only recommend using a freestanding tub if you have a large bathroom, don't take baths frequently and/or don't use products, candles, or beverages while bathing. These freestanding showpiece tubs are absolutely stunning!!!

Modern Bath

Contemporary bathrooms usually have a spa quality about them. The clean lines of the tile and cabinetry equals a peaceful and relaxing space. When accessories are kept to a minimum and toiletries and products are tucked into niches this makes the whole bathing experience serene and calming.
