Something Different
Focus Fireplaces were developed by a French sculptor named Dominique Imbert. They are so distinctive and graphic they are really more of an art piece than a functional utility! They are obviously perfect for modern interiors but I do think they could work well in a rustic setting as well.

There's a Place in France...
You know the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Well, I am of the opinion that a cover should match its contents. But sometimes it doesn't....and that can be a good thing! Take this house in France...
Such a beautiful, traditional house...I expected to see scrolled arm sofas in velvet and gilt framed oil paintings. Instead it's this....

Old World Modern Charm
Here is a new listing in Corona del Mar that was designed with very rustic, old world elements mixed with the modern materials and clean lines favored today. I think it looks fun and livable. I love the kitchen backsplash and the barstools! For more information on this house go here.
Here is are some shots of the exterior which really summarizes the feel of the house!

Quartz Countertops
I recently remodeled two bathrooms using Quartz countertops.
I think this material is the most amazing product! I love that you can use all
the products in your bathroom like nail polish remover, makeup, shaving cream,
toothpaste, mouth wash etc. etc. without worrying one bit about damaging your
countertop. It's so clean and modern yet you can use it in a traditional
setting as well. Here are two examples:

I used a quartz product on the countertop with glass backsplash and Limestone pencil liner.
